Fakir Mohan University Faculty Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria and Qualification for Each Post
I. Professor – Eligibility (A or B)
Option A: An eminent scholar with a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, with a minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals, a total research score of 120 (as per UGC Regulation 2018, Appendix II, Table 2), and a minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in a university/college as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor and/or research experience at equivalent level at University/National Level Institutions with evidence of successfully guiding doctoral candidates.
Option B: An outstanding professional with a Ph.D. degree in the relevant/allied/applied discipline from any academic institution or industry, who has made a significant contribution to knowledge in the concerned discipline, with at least 10 years of experience.
II. Associate Professor – Eligibility
A good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline AND a Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks AND a minimum of 8 years of teaching and/or research experience equivalent to Assistant Professor level, with a minimum of 7 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 75 (as per UGC Regulation 2018, Appendix II, Table 2).
III. Assistant Professor – Eligibility (A or B)
Option A: A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University or equivalent from an accredited foreign university AND must have cleared UGC-NET/CSIR-NET, OR hold a Ph.D. degree awarded in accordance with UGC (Minimum Standards for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D.) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 (NET exempted).
Option B: Ph.D. degree obtained from a foreign university ranked in the top 500 of World University Rankings (QS / THE / ARWU-Shanghai) at any time.
Relaxation of Marks: A relaxation of 5% is allowed at both Bachelor’s and Master’s level for SC/ST/Differently-abled candidates for the purpose of eligibility and assessing good academic record.
