SBI SCO 2026 Selection Process – Shortlisting and Interview for Defence Advisor Posts

The selection process for SBI SCO Recruitment 2026 consists of two stages:

  • Stage 1 – Shortlisting: Applications will be screened by a shortlisting committee constituted by SBI. The committee will fix its own parameters for shortlisting and will call only an adequate number of candidates for interview based on qualifications, suitability, and relevant experience. Simply meeting the minimum eligibility does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. SBI’s decision in this regard is final and no correspondence will be entertained.
  • Stage 2 – Interview: The interview carries 100 marks. The qualifying marks will be decided by the Bank. Call letters for interview will be sent via email only — no hard copy will be dispatched. Merit list for final selection will be prepared in descending order based on interview scores. If two candidates score equal marks, they will be ranked in descending order of age (older candidate ranked higher).

Important: There is no written examination for any of these posts. Outstation candidates called for interview will be reimbursed to-and-fro air travel (economy class, shortest route) from their residence or workplace, whichever is lower. Local transportation is not reimbursable. Candidates found ineligible at the interview stage will not be reimbursed any travelling expenses.
