For Professor (Medical Candidates):
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized under the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- Postgraduate degree: MD / MS or recognized equivalent in the respective discipline.
- For surgical super-specialties: M.Ch.; for medical super-specialties: D.M. (2, 3 or 5 years recognized course).
