Central Bank of India Apprentice 2026 Eligibility Criteria – Age Limit, Qualification and Nationality
Nationality / Citizenship:
A candidate must be a Citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with intent to permanently settle in India, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or specified East African countries with intent to permanently settle in India. Candidates in categories other than Indian citizens must hold a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
Educational Qualification:

- Stage 2 – Test of Local Language: Candidates must be proficient (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) in the specified local/official language of the state they are applying for. Candidates who have studied the opted local language in 10th or 12th standard need not appear for this test. The language test will be conducted after qualifying the online examination.
- Stage 3 – Document Verification (DV): Candidates shortlisted on merit in the online examination will be called for document verification at the Central Bank of India Regional/Zonal Office. All original documents along with self-attested photocopies must be produced at this stage.

Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): Candidates whose family has a gross annual income below ₹8 Lakhs (from all sources — salary, agriculture, business, profession, etc.) and who do not belong to SC/ST/OBC categories are eligible for EWS reservation. Families owning 5 acres of agricultural land or above, a residential flat of 1000 sq. ft. or above, a residential plot of 100 sq. yards or above in notified municipalities, or a residential plot of 200 sq. yards or above in other areas are excluded from EWS, regardless of income.
