This NFR Recruitment 2026-27 is a special category recruitment conducted exclusively against the Scouts & Guides quota. Candidates having no Scout and Guide qualification are not eligible to apply under this notification. The selection for Group ‘C’ (Level-2 posts) and erstwhile Group ‘D’ (Level-1 posts) will be conducted separately, and a candidate wishing to apply for both levels must submit two separate applications.

Educational Qualification for Level-2 posts: 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate. The 50% marks condition is not to be insisted upon in case of ST/SC/Ex-Servicemen candidates, where the candidate possesses qualifications higher than HS, such as Graduation/Post-Graduation. Typewriting Proficiency of 30 wpm in English or 25 wpm in Hindi is essential for candidates being considered for the post of Jr. Clerk cum Typist/Accounts Clerk cum Typist, based on actual vacancy. A pass in Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized Board, along with an ITI certificate, is required for posts under the Artisans Technical Categories (a Diploma in Engineering is not considered as an alternative to a higher qualification).

NFR Scouts & Guides Quota 2026-27 – Mandatory Scout & Guide Qualification Conditions

Since this recruitment is conducted exclusively against the Scouts & Guides quota, candidates having no Scout and Guide qualification cannot apply. The following Scout & Guide qualifications and conditions, applicable to both Level-2 and Level-1 posts, must be fulfilled:

  • (a) The candidate must be a President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger OR a Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any section.
  • (b) The candidate should have been an active member of a Scouts organization for the last 5 (five) years, i.e. from 01.04.2019 onwards. The Certificate of ‘Activeness’ should be as per Annexure-‘C’ in original.
  • (c) The candidate should have attended two events at National Level OR All Indian Railways’ level, AND two events at State level.
  • (d) Explanatory Note: The candidate must have been active for at least five years in the recent past, i.e. during 2019-20, 2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-2025 & 2025-26, and should continue to be active, i.e. during (till date).

NFR Scouts & Guides Quota 2026-27 – Selection Process for Group C and Erstwhile Group D Posts

The selection process for Group ‘C’ posts (Level-2 of Pay Matrix as per 7th Pay Commission) and erstwhile Group ‘D’ posts (Level-1 of Pay Matrix as per 7th Pay Commission) shall be conducted separately. A candidate is permitted to apply for both Level-2 (Grade Pay ₹1900/-) and erstwhile Group ‘D’ Level-1 (Grade Pay ₹1800/-) posts, but should apply through a separate application for each level, since both recruitments will be processed independently based on the prescribed eligibility and Scout & Guide qualification criteria for each level.
