Indian Air Force AFCAT 01/2026 PFD Out – Apply Online for 340 Posts
The AFCAT-01/2026 notification has been released to recruit 340 officers in the Indian Air Force for Flying, Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical), and NCC Special Entry branches.
Eligible candidates can apply online from 17 November 2025 to 14 December 2025 at

Eligibility Criteria
- Flying Branch: Graduation with Physics & Mathematics at 10+2 or BE/B.Tech degree.
- Ground Duty (Technical): BE/B.Tech in specified engineering disciplines.
- Ground Duty (Non-Technical): Graduation or Post-Graduation in relevant fields such as Administration, Accounts, Logistics, Education.
Age Limit
Flying Branch: 20-24 years (relaxable up to 26 for CPL holders).
Ground Duty: 20-26 years (as on 01 January 2027).
Salary
Flying Officer Pay as per Defence Matrix: Rs. 56,100-1,77,500 (Level 10) + MSP Rs. 15,500 + branch-based allowances. Flight Cadets receive Rs. 56,100/- stipend during training.

Selection Process
- Stage I: Officer Intelligence Rating Test + Picture Perception & Discussion.
- Stage II: Psychological Test, Group Tests & Interview.
- Flying Branch: CPSS for recommended candidates.
- Final Merit List based on Written Exam + AFSB tests.
- 10% seats reserved for NCC Air Wing Senior Division ‘C’ certificate holders in Ground Duty.
