Eligibility Criteria
- Post-specific qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s in relevant discipline.
- Essential experience as per post (e.g., Library Officer – 5 yrs, Assistant Editor – 5 yrs editing/publication experience, Section Officer – 3 yrs as Assistant, etc.).
- Age limits: 32 to 56 years depending on post; age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD as per govt rules.
Salary / Pay Level
- Level 4 to Level 11 pay as per 7th CPC, depending on post.
Application Fee
- Group A: UR/OBC Rs.1500, SC/ST/Women/EWS/PwD Rs.750
- Group B: UR/OBC Rs.1000, SC/ST/Women/EWS/PwD Rs.500
- Group C: UR/OBC Rs.500, SC/ST/Women/EWS/PwD Rs.250
- Deputation Posts: No fee
- Payment via Demand Draft in favor of “Indian Institute of Mass Communication”, payable at New Delhi.

Selection Process
- Group A: Written Test → Skill Test → Interview
