Eligibility Criteria
- Regularly appointed Stenographer Grade “D” in participating services/cadres with prescribed length of approved service as on 01.07.2025.
- Service-specific conditions apply (CSSS, RBS, AFHS, ECI, IFS(B), CVC).
- Computer literacy: Candidates must be able to transcribe shorthand notes on computer.
- Eligibility subject to verification of service records and fulfillment of all rules mentioned in SSC notification.

Selection Process
- Part-A: Computer Based Examination (200 marks) – General Awareness, Comprehension & English Knowledge, 2 hours.
- Part-B: Short Hand Skill Test – Dictation 10 min (100 w.p.m.), transcription on computer (English/Hindi).
- Part-C: Evaluation of Record of Service (APARs) – Maximum 100 marks.
- Final selection based on merit in CBT, Stenography Test & APAR evaluation.
- Separate select lists for each cadre/service, subject to reservation rules.

- Complete One Time Registration (OTR) with Aadhaar or other permitted ID.
- Login and fill Online Application Form for Grade C Stenographers LDCE 2025.
- Upload required documents, live photograph & scanned signature.
- Submit form, take printout, and forward printed application through Head of Department to SSC (NR) by specified dates.
