Educational Qualification: As per the Medical Institutions (Qualifications of Faculty) Regulations 2025 issued via NMC Gazette Notification dated 30 June 2025. In case Super-specialty Senior Residents (MCh/DM/DrNB) are not available for Super-specialty departments, Senior Residents from the concerned parent Broad Specialties will be considered. For Senior Resident posts in Dentistry, candidates with MDS in Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry, or Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery will be preferred.
Note on DNB Equivalence: As per NMC TEQ dated 14 February 2022, DNB in broad specialty and super specialty qualifications when granted in a medical institution with an attached hospital or in a hospital with 500 or more beds shall be considered equivalent to MD/MS and DM/M.Ch respectively. In all other cases, one additional year of senior residency in a medical college will be required for equivalence.
