Eligibility Criteria Explained

Professor

• Ph.D. in concerned/allied discipline
• Minimum 10 research publications
• Research score of 120 as per UGC norms
• At least 10 years teaching/research experience

Associate Professor

• Ph.D. in relevant discipline
• Master’s degree with minimum 55% marks
• Minimum 8 years teaching/research experience
• At least 7 research publications
• Research score of 75 as per UGC criteria

Assistant Professor

• Master’s degree with minimum 55% marks
• NET/SLET/SET qualified OR Ph.D. as per UGC regulations
• Foreign Ph.D. holders from top 500 ranked universities are exempted from NET

Age Limit

• Assistant Professor: Maximum 40 years as on 01 January 2026
• SC/ST: 5 years relaxation
• OBC (NCL): 3 years relaxation
• PWD: 10 years relaxation
